In fairness, the (screen)writer did not &quot;gallop&quot;. If you have to fit a rich and detailed 400 page story in ninety minutes, some things need to go.

The screenplay is widely regarded as, well, as faithful as you could get given the limitations. The screenplay is the only bright spot you can find.</description>
