Movies are memory-makers and magical getaways. After all, who doesn’t recall the first time they saw Dorothy’s house crash down on top of the wicked witch? Or perhaps remember a first date and the film that you saw? As we travel through life, experiencing our ups and downs and everything in between, we seem to be able to glean a bit of happiness and intrigue from the movies that we follow and admire. With modern technology that allows filmmakers and directors to make their own movies, all it takes is the help of a few talented friends, a creative vision, and a series of great venues—all things we have right here on Amelia Island!

AMELIA ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL will hold its 2nd ANNUAL "Festival for Filmmakers" February 25th- 28th, 2010. Plan to join us here next February in Historic Fernandina Beach Florida to help create a new tradition!

We are also pleased to announce to the film community its Film Submission Process for our Second Annual Festival.

The AIFF is now accepting Feature (longer than 40 minutes), Short (1 minute and shorter than 40 minutes, Animation, Documentary, Narrative Fiction, Other Than English, Northeast Florida & Southeast Georgia Special Interest, Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Educational, Horror, Musical, Romantic Comedy, Satire Social Issue, Sci-Fi films. Do you have an Amelia Island’s Home Video? We would love to see it.
